FULLER'S GUARDIAN RANGE

WITH ALMOST 400 PUBS AROUND LONDON AND THE SOUTHEAST, FULLER'S ARE KNOWN FOR CARRYING THE VERY BEST IN FINE ALES AND BEERS. WE WERE APPROACHED TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP A NEW RANGE OF HANDPUMPS AND LO-LINE T-BAR TO BE ROLLED OUT ACROSS THE ESTATE, ENHANCING ALL THE BRANDS THEY SERVE ON THE BAR.

HOW WE DID IT

preliminary design

The new hand pumps are on a raised plinth engraved with Fuller's well-known motto, 'Brewed by the side of the Thames'. Each handle is engraved with the Fuller's cartouche, and the bespoke pump clip holder allows each brand to stand out.

The Lo-line T-Bar would be used on a wide range of bars for a wide range of beers, so flexibility was key. There are 2 hand pump styles available within Fuller's bespoke design. We used the proven Angram modular approach for the multi-dispense Lo-line T-Bar.

The Result

They were soon rolled out across the Fuller's estate, proving hugely successful with customers and bar staff alike.

FULLER'S LANDMARK

WE WANTED TO HELP TO TELL THE STORIES THAT EXIST WITHIN THE BREWERY, CELEBRATE ITS RICH HISTORY AND ENCAPSULATE EVERYTHING THAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT THE BRAND. AS AN ESTABLISHED LOCAL LANDMARK, THE BEER ENGINE HAD TO BE AS ICONIC AS THE BREWERY.

HOW WE DID IT

preliminary design

Our design process for Fuller's was heavily influenced by London, and by the Griffin brewery itself. Instantly recognisable is the unique helix handle - an echo of the brewery chimney that stands above the London landscape.

We recognised two key messages - the Griffin cartouche, and Fuller's tagline of 'Brewed Beside the Thames'. These are finished in embossed brass badges, adding a premium look with a nod to industrial heritage. The engraved plinth retains an elegant, traditional feel - the foundation of the new, rebranded London Pride.

The Result

The Fuller's beer engine is a true icon on the bar, instantly recognisable as unique to their brand. With elements available in kit form, we made it easy to fit to existing bar furniture in the on-trade, and clips can be changed to promote the whole Fuller's range. It's a permanent, ownable position for Fuller's to celebrate their much-loved portfolio of beers.

FULLER'S PREMIUM

THE HISTORY OF FULLER'S BREWERY IS ENTWINED WITH THE BREWING HISTORY OF LONDON AND GOES RIGHT BACK TO THE LATE 1600S. EVEN THE BREWERY AS WE KNOW IT - BUILT IN 1828 NEXT TO THE THAMES OXBOW - IS A LANDMARK OF LONDON'S INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE. FULLER'S HAVE LED THE BRITISH BREWING SCENE, INVESTING, INNOVATING, AND BUILDING ON THEIR RICH HISTORY AND HERITAGE; CONSTANTLY EVOLVING AND PLAYING ON THE RICHNESS OF THE BRAND

HOW WE DID IT

preliminary design

As Fuller's relaunched London Pride, we were approached to create a new font for their own estate and worldwide export market. It had to be instantly recognisable to the consumer in the off-trade, a perfect platform for the rebrand yet allowing their other beer brands to be fitted.

We wanted to help to tell the stories that exist within the brewery, celebrate its rich history, and encapsulate everything that's unique about the brand.

The Result

The Fuller's font is a true icon on the bar, instantly recognisable as unique to their brand. This has proven highly successful within the export market and has become the Fuller's premium font. This design execution focuses on marrying the history of the Fullers Brand as well as the heritage of the location – reflecting in the Thames oxbow in the physical form. The combination creates a truly iconic piece of Branding for Fullers
